Platinum holding up much better than gold or silver

Hi All,

Anyone have any ideas about why platinum has withstood the recent sell-off? It's actually up a few bucks over the last few days, while G&S have gotten whacked pretty good.

I was figuring that with all the hub-bub about China's economy slowing down, platinum would be right there in the thick of the sell-off. Do they not use platinum in Chinese cars converters?

It wasent a sell off. It was a total drop in the majority of the markets.

Right. That's why I would like to find out why platinum was the exception. :coo_mal:

Palladium didn't drop either.
Unfortunately, I only own 1 ounce :sad_m:

My guess is because it is more of an industrial metal than anything else. Just a guess. Palladium too.
